cloudy windshield and it doesnt seem to get clean, any way to fix it?
hey guys, i have a chrysler sebring, its a 2004. the windshield has become foggy, and almost smokey but it doesnt wipe off with glass cleaner or goo gone or anything like that. I do not smoke, and the stuff does not seem to be outside or inside. However, it is only cloudy where the wipers pass over. The cloudyness is in the arch shape that the blades make, and its very runny. any help would be great!
Sounds like the wiper blades are dirty or have a film on em. I’d replace the wipers blades.
I can’t find a wiper that gets my windshield clean?
I have a 2000 xterra. Since it was brand new, I haven’t found a wiper that could clean the glass streak free. I”ve tried Rain X on the glass and in the fluid. I’ve bought just about every brand of single-blade wiper. It seems like maybe the glass itself is the problem. Suggestions?
I have not had good luck with Rain-X on the windshield, once you put it on under the right conditions it will just give you smudged windshield no matter what wiper blades you use. STP used to make Vision Blade which worked well but I cant find it anymore. Strip the rain-x with a solvent, try the Bosch wiper blades.
Car windshield washing fluid fo 99Cent?
For years I’ve bean dumping the blue windshield washing fluid into the empty windex glass cleaner bottles. The fluid seems identitcal. Am I right? save some dough here?
the stuff cleans everything
if you drive a taurus, it ends up with antifreeze in it
DANG! actually you’re right! If I would have only read the freekin’ bottles, there may be mercury in the windshield washing, fluid, may cause blindness. Doesn’t make sense though, how much is the windshield washing fluid used? ALOT what the… but it looked identical, thats why I originally thought this was so smart
Windshield washer fluid has antifreeze in it.
I want to clean my new Honda Civic without Soap and Water?
As I leave in an Apartment so cannot use soap, water to clean in the underground garage. Generally use wipes to clean the exterior and glass cleaner for windshield and mirrors. But need some tips for regular cleaning for dust over the body. Someone told me not to use towels/rags as they may put scratch. Any suggestion how to remove dust regularly without using wipes for long time rather use it once in a while.
Have you ever considered investing in a car cover? This would keep the car cleaner longer and an occasional trip to the car wash would do the rest. I do agree that you should not wipe the paint with towels and paper, all you are doing is rubbing the dirt that is on the surface of the paint and this will cloud the finish over time.
would you rather drink a glass of horse pee or lick the windshield clean after a long car ride?
That is totally gross but it would have to be the windshield. Just imaging warm horse pee is making me shiver. EWWW
